Objective
The Electric Line Technician e-Learning series will help students build a solid foundation in the electrical line technician field and help them gain confidence and task independence. All course units are arranged in a comprehensive curriculum. Important fundamentals are covered in the Apprentice Series and the level of knowledge for the learner is further expanded as the student advances from one series to the next.
The primary objective of the Apprentice Series is to identify most of the materials and tools utilized as a line technician. Also, basic skills are covered that are required as a helper on the crew.
The primary objective of the Line Technician III Series is to develop the skills necessary to work on low voltage devices and to be able to assemble material in preparation for installation. Students will also learn more advanced skills required as a helper on the crew.
The primary objective of the Line Technician II Series is to develop the skills necessary to work on energized devices such as high voltage. Students will learn advanced skills of how to install and replace high voltage devices.
